What will my child do at Nursery School?
Each session is structured to give balance between free play and group activities. We follow a tailored curriculum leading to the Early Learning goals. The full curriculum is available for parents at any time.
This is a brief summary of the activities used in working towards the Early Learning Goals:

The Home Corner |
The computer corner All these aspects involve language development as well as pre-number, pre-writing and pre-reading work. All children learn to recognise their names and if they are ready, to write them. We use the same methods as the infant department to teach hand writing and reading where appropriate. We place great emphasis on the social development of the children. Learning to share, to respect the rights of others and to help and care for each other are very important parts of nursery school life. Confident, happy, thoughtful and articulate children will most easily move from the nursery school into the Reception class. Further information Please do not hesitate to contact the Nursery School for more information. We will be happy to meet you and your child and answer any questions you have. . This term's topics This terms's topics are AUTUMN and FESTIVALS. The two preceding topics were SPACE and PETS. The children enjoy our recent Space topic
